A Sanctuary for Remembering Who You Truly Are

My path has been one of descent and return.

Through addiction, heartbreak, chronic illness, and a near-death experience, I was brought to the edge of everything I thought I knew. In 2014, what felt like the end became something holy. In the darkness, I encountered the presence of God—as the Divine Mother. And in that moment, I remembered:
I was never separate. I had only forgotten.

That moment of remembrance became the seed of Illumined Essence.

My healing didn’t come all at once. It came like a slow unfolding—a sacred return to my own soul. A journey through grief, identity death, and the long road of becoming who I already was.

What I’ve come to know is this:
We are not broken.
We are not lost.
We are simply remembering.

So much of our suffering comes from forgetting the truth of who we are. And the shadows we carry—the doubt, the shame, the fear—are not signs of failure, but invitations to return.
